MMM is a new 11-track release from Italian producer Dario Tronchin, also known as Money Lang. It is a continuation of the funky, choppy dance music that he has been outputting for a minute now. It seems to reflect both the DX-fried realities of 80s synth pop as well as the French music that both bastardized and crystallized those sounds in the 2000s—I’m thinking artists like Alan Braxe and Kavinsky. Standout cut “Naughty Times” is a pop-locking electro cut that seems tailored for that moment in the night when pre-game turns into game time and your Zyn intake ramps up considerably. When listening to this music, close your eyes. Do you picture a neon pink grid infinitely extending over a pitch black sky? I wouldn’t be surprised.
