This track in particular holds a special space in my heart as it is based on the first track I ever released (Late Night Nostalgia, in which my artist name at the time was Insømnia); it's not up anymore, yet I still consider it my earlist work as a non single (single-wise, that goes to Lost & Found). I feel sorta old reflecting on that track, as it was just me messing around in Garageband Mobile, combining sounds I thought were interesting. As well, that was three-and-a-half years ago. I'm genunely proud of how far I have come with my music since Late Night Nostalgia, and believe Sleep Paralysi to epitomize that development. The theming of Sleep Paralysi is about creating an almost colourful reality one envisions when they cannot fall asleep, with the beauty of the nighttime atmosphere otherworldly (a nod to Nightlight Atmospherica). The sound design too encompesses that theming with its bright chords, melodies and percussion. And as a nod to the OG, I ended this track off with the beginning of Late Night Nostalgia to come full circle with that development in my music. Overall, I think Sleep Paralysi is a pretty good track, and solidifies the style of music I want to produce moving forward (along with not forgetting the roots of why my music production journey began).
