“God In The Middle” opens with a field recording captured in a Buddhist monastery in Vietnam by Berlin-based musician and producer Adrian Scholz, aka Helmut. It’s a fitting prelude to a contemplative, minimalist groove that approaches themes of spiritual solitude, addiction, and trauma with poetic sensitivity—never slipping into solemn heaviness.

Built on a restrained blend of drums, melodic bass lines, gently placed synths, and chorus-soaked guitars, the track’s elegant indie sound carries a subtle French touch, leaving ample space to breathe. Helmut’s production is meticulously considered while still allowing room for thought and feeling.
