Giants marks our return after years of silence — two long-form tracks that revisit the myth of Gog and Magog and reshape it into something that reflects who we are now. Written between South Tangerang and New York, the EP grew out of a period of anxiety, protests, and distance, becoming a place for us to release everything we couldn’t say out loud.
The music sits where doom, psychedelia, and cinematic noise collide: heavy riffs, chest-thumping low end, and the mantra that runs through both tracks — False God, Ruling, Giants, Rising. Everything was rebuilt from old drafts we found after the hiatus, then reshaped with new urgency.
Visually, the EP is stitched together from archival films — ethnographic footage from the Dutch East Indies, mid-century futurism, fragments of history and speculation. For us, these images feel like a form of research: reframing the past, carrying it into a different future.
Giants is the beginning of Kaveman’s new chapter, and the first release under our own imprint, Marathon Recordings.
Kaveman seeks to transform heaviness into something larger than
life — a myth retold in feedback, distortion, and walls of sound.
