【 This time we're presenting a club release by world-renowned Tokyo-based producer and DJ - Wrack - with remixes by Jaijiu and J. Córdova 】

∎ When you say global club music, there is no better concrete musical example than Wrack. He is making rich and hybrid, truly global music, which is a modern and innovative mixture of many international genres. South African GQOM, Mexican tribal, Colombian guaracha, Brazilian baile funk, Jamaican dancehall, UK Funky, UK grime, US trap, vogue, and many others. Wrack blends all together and still maintains his signature style. When you hear Wrack's fast percussion, you instantly know it's his music.

∎ For this EP, he says: "In a world where streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music are becoming mainstream, the sampling culture of the past, such as SoundCloud, is disappearing. I thought that this was such a waste, so I created this piece using free-flowing samples. So I say the theme of this project is freedom. I just wanted to sample freely." The tracks Paru and Goi are accompanied by remix versions by our musical friends Jaijiu from Buenos Aires' Rebote Discoteca and J. Córdova from Chicago's Agua de Rosas.

∎ Wrack is often your favorite DJ's/producer's favorite producer. Brodinski, Sinjin Hawke, Zora Jones, Umru, Scratcha DVA, or Kaval, you can hear his music in their sets for sure. As a DJ, he is a resident at Hong Kong Community Radio (HKCR) and has contributed mixes to Boiler Room, Mixmag, NTS, Rinse, and i-D. He played shows both in Japan and abroad, including Mexico City, Seoul, Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Shenzhen, Xi'an, Xiamen, Hong Kong, Taipei, Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya, Sapporo, and many other places.
