Spring ’25 I finished “Construct”. An album with music made during my battle with long Covid. The process leading to this release felt like a victory, but the relapse was intense. I didn’t make any music for several weeks after and needed all my energy to get back to where I was before the release. It was worth it though, all the positivity surrounding the album gave me a much needed mental boost.
Fast forward a couple of months later, around summer, I acquired an Intellijel Multigrain. A synth module for sampling and granulizing audio (look up granular synthesis if you want to learn about it), and I decided on pulling the whole album through this module as a starting point. So now you are listening to the results. Four tracks containing snippets, samples, grains from the original album’s tracks and stems. Supplemented with new recorded parts, sounds and samples. Good luck finding the original tracks in these reworks :)

NB 1. I’ll be working on a new project in the coming year. This time I’m calling in the help of a bunch of very talented specific musician friends, and I even started practicing saxophone again (head explodes emoji) Also quietly hoping for being able to do some live gigs again sometime next year. Fingers crossed.

NB 2. All proceedings of this EP will be donated towards long COVID research. As national funds for research starting to dry out -and the current political climate doesn’t give a f- the people worse off than me need hope for a better future.
