House of Warmth returns with “Sugareater,” the second single from their upcoming EP Gabapentin_1, out early 2026 via Candlepin Records and Flesh & Bone Records. Written during an outpatient addiction treatment program, the track pairs dark, layered vocals with heavy rhythmic drive, reflecting its raw subject matter.
Formed from guitarist/vocalist Kayla Gold’s lo-fi 4-track project, the Portland heavygaze band has evolved into a collision of shoegaze texture and nü-metal weight. Recorded in Bend at COR Studios and expanded across home setups with four-track guitar layers, the EP was mixed by Kel Pinchin (Split Chain, Modern Error) and mastered by Corey Coffman (Trauma Ray, Downward).
