Our crowded cities with historic, artistic magnetisms, parade our modern disturbed mindsets. There’s constant pull to chaos. I’ve learned how much we all deserve a safe home, to make our screaming worlds digestible, rather than tormenting. When I first met my now partner, I struggled to accept a safe resting place. The first time I saw my partner cry, we were listening to Coltrane’s live recording “Peace on Earth," while sitting in my car, surrounded by NY rush hour traffic. Somehow, in that moment - everything was perfect and still. It was all I needed.
