Mariachiara Troianiello, known as Katatonic Silentio, is an italian sound artist and researcher working at the intersection of electronic music, performance art, and sound studies. A DJ for over 15 years, her sets range from pure abstraction — musique concrète, ambient, world, spoken word — to more club-oriented rhythms like techno, drum’n’bass, and leftfield. As a composer, she investigates the relationship between sound, body, and space, while her research delves into the origins of sound, from primitive cultures to the contemporary world.
