Desde Rawa Club nuestra misión es difundir una música y una escena novedosa, vanguardista, rompedora, que derribe barreras y estereotipos tanto de géneros musicales como humanos. Además de nuestro interés por descentralizar la escena del club en España, queremos situar a Sevilla como un referente cultural importante dentro de la música electrónica, que esté en el foco de distintos artistas, promotores y colectivos, poner el ojo aquí más allá de solo Madrid y Barcelona. Cómo latinas inmigrantes en Sevilla, creemos que hay más en común entre Andalucía y Latinoamérica que con cualquier otra parte del mundo, ya que siempre ha habido entre ambos territorios geográficos un inmenso intercambio cultural y social. Para nosotras Andalucía no es Europa, ni siquiera es España, durante siglos se ha tachado a Andalucía de retrógrada y atrasada, configurándola como la periferia a los ojos de España que ya de por sí es la periferia de Europa. Creemos que la identidad y todos los elementos culturales que han hecho de Andalucía lo que es son sumamente valiosos, y nos encontramos con tantos elementos que nos recuerdan a nuestros países natales (México y Uruguay) que sentimos la necesidad de seguir conectando y compartiendo las escenas que hay actualmente en ambos lados del mar. ENG// Through this compilation we would like to create a fusion and exchange between the club scenes of Latin America and those of Andalusia, rescuing and disseminating the work of our favorite artists and producers. Our mission as Rawa Club is to spread a new, avant-garde, groundbreaking music and scene that breaks down barriers and stereotypes of both musical and human genres. In addition to our interest in decentralizing the club scene in Spain, we want to position Seville as an important cultural benchmark Within electronic music, which is in the focus of different artists, promoters and collectives, put an eye here beyond just Madrid and Barcelona. As immigrant Latinas in Seville, we believe that there is more in common between Andalusia and Latin America than with any other part of the world, since there has always been an immense cultural and social exchange between both geographical territories. For us Andalusia is not Europe, it is not even Spain, for centuries Andalusia has been labeled retrograde and backward, setting it up as the periphery in the eyes of Spain, which is already the periphery of Europe. We believe that identity and all the cultural elements that have made Andalusia what it is are extremely valuable, and we find so many elements that remind us of our native countries (Mexico and Uruguay) that we feel the need to continue connecting and sharing the scenes that are currently on both sides of the sea."
