I created this song inspired by the soundtrack of the series "The White Lotus," but mainly because the atmosphere of this song reminds me of walking through dense reed forests on the island of Susak in Croatia. This island is notable for being one of the few Croatian islands with sandy beaches (the others have rocky beaches). The song is called "Readin' In The Reed" because the second attribute of the island is that it is literally covered with a dense reed jungle that hides all kinds of secrets. A typical reed stalk reaches about three to four meters, which creates an incredible atmosphere that I also tried to capture with the cover of this song! On the cover, you can see a modified photo of one of the local paths leading somewhere through the reed jungle. I created this song before I went to the island, and I did so because I wanted to enjoy the atmosphere of nature there with this song live. The island is also interesting in that its total population is about 150, and there is only one town called "Sansego." There are no roads on the entire island, so you can only get around on foot or, in exceptional cases, by bike on the aforementioned trails. A visit to this magical place will remain in my heart to this day. I hope you enjoy listening, and maybe you'll visit Susak sometime ❦...
As I said at the beginning, this song is inspired by the soundtrack of the series The White Lotus, but I also drew inspiration from songs by artists such as El Búho, Rainer Scheurenbrand, Pimao, and Clan Caimán. Except for a few vocals, the entire song was created electronically and with enthusiasm from running through a reed maze!
