Rubber Works proudly announce the release of our first solo project with a new 4-track EP from Manchester based producer Luma. "did you forget to stretch?" is the club ready compound derived from atmospheric leftfield arrangements, bass heavy substance, and post-garage influenced vocals.
! (exclamation) opens the EP as a fast paced exploration into the emotional possibilities of a techno track, drawing heavily on natural elements whilst retaining the gritty attributes that are synonymous at a higher bpm. It's an early morning petrichor walk combining raw vocals and dark bass conflicted in isolation.
.404. follows in similar emotional resemblance, taking a more subdued approach featuring warm, earthy synth stabs and a subtle delayed 2-step rhythm. Multiple vocals mould the sense of solitude portrayed throughout, simultaneously enhancing the track to it's garage fundamentals, allowing it to become a versatile selection beyond the club.
did you forget to stretch? turns up the intensity as an energetic entry to pure peak time, late night garage. Trippy and constantly oscillating, no rest here, this one is made for you to sweat.
b-a-b-y is a sweet and sexy dancefloor treat. It's unpredictable disposition soothe those saccharine cravings at the end of hearty 4 course serving. The combination of wobbly bass and hazy percussion, topped with sugar vocals fuse this future garage gem.
