Loudeast Records label boss discovered a new talent while teaching his DJ classes at Berklee College of Music, the one and only Gÿe who delivered a demo version of “4AM” as part of his own Masters Culminating Experience. Nacho fell in love with the track so badly that he offered his student the opportunity to remix and release it. “4AM” is a dancefloor monster with 909 beats, dreamy pads, dynamic stabs, and a powerful vocal line sung by the artist himself.
The artist in his own words:
“4AM takes Hathor’s myth in order to portray today’s young generations. This song makes a statement and celebrates the power of diversity in all its expressions. There is no more powerful sound than house music to make this celebration happen, as a shaman reuniting all the people of a tribe. I wanted my very first release to be a tribute to worldwide tribal beauty. I love how many diverse elements can build cultural identity, especially in tribal societies. These elements go beyond the occidental misconception of “fashion”, or “looking good”. A movement or jewel, piece of clothes, or perfumes are identitary, and they contribute to our individual self-conception too. ”
