"5th Generation Angel is a sonic experience oscillating between existing in the mind and in the body. This EP was crafted during an era where I surrendered to myself. I previously have struggled with existing solely in my head. During the period these songs were created, I regularly tried to suspend the mind to sink into movement and pleasure habitually. Many of these pieces are capsules of either side of this polarity or combine moments of both, extreme feeling and thinking. I created this oeuvre, in pursuit of transformation specifically in regards to healing my relationship with myself. I found wholeness in my soul through creating vs. the inclination towards perfectionism. During the stage of production I reflected on the beauty, pain and my ability to heal past the limitations I have bestowed on myself. This record is the ascension into a realm of actualization and application."

Sonically, 5th Generation Angel holds the theme of duality, juxtaposing density and illumination, chaos and grounding, and the pain-pleasure principle. Maude conveys these polarities throughout the record with heavy bass lines, shimmering bell accompaniment, otherworldly textures, whispered vocals and apexed synth leads. Each song carries you to the next with moments of intensity and/or release. 5th Generation Angel is metaphysical, cinematic, and warehouse worthy all at once.
