Il singolo d'esordio delle Blaque - trio di girls newyorkesi - è uno dei dischi R'n'B che ho in collezione a cui sono piu' affezionata.
Il punto di partenza di queste due tracce è l'accappella, che viene usato seguendo concettualmente la palindromia del titolo: in BABYMOVE l'acappella si trova spezzettato e in reverse, e nella seconda invece per il suo verso originario.
Dalle 2 decostruzioni differenti della voce ecco due esercizi di ri-creazione delle ritmiche da 0, che ho utilizzato per allenarmi nella produzione: non è un prodotto ma un'esercizio, il primo risultato di un tuffo nella creazione di musica.

Blaque’s debut single — by a trio of girls from New York — is one of the R'n'B records in my collection that I’m most attached to.
These two tracks both start from the same place: the original acapella.
I used it in a way that conceptually follows the palindrome idea in the title.
In BABYMOVE , the vocal is chopped up and reversed, the other instead plays forward in its original form.
From these two different vocal deconstructions, I built two rhythmic exercises from scratch — kind of like beat sketches.
This isn’t a perfect product but just an experiment — a first step into music creation, and a way to train my ear and production skills.
