"The Lazy Attractor" is the first single off upcoming album "Adjustable Phase" by newly-formed duo Adjustable Face.
Adjustable Face, the new collaborative project by Milan-based musicians Marco Paltrinieri (Canti Magnetici, Granny Records) and Matteo Pennesi (Babau, Artetetra, {scope}), explores the intersection of glitch, ambient, and computer music through different composition and production strategies.
Their debut album "Adjustable Phase", soon-to-be-released via Kohlhaas, was built through a process of editing, reassembling, and refining extended improvisation sessions recorded throughout 2024. Primarily based on guitar and electronics, these sessions document the path of mutual artistic acquaintance between Paltrinieri and Pennesi, as well as the comparison and bringing together of different personal influences and sensibilities, in search of a common language.
It is perhaps in this ferment and exploratory curiosity that lies the distinctive feature of the album, which is expressed through ten tracks that touch on different references and suggestions.
The post-production and mixing phase was entrusted to Francesco Piro, whose contribution helped to shape the sound identity of the album.
"Adjustable Phase" is going to be out on tape and digital featuring artwork and design by visual artist Baiubaiu aka Riccardo Redeghieri.
