Alexandra Python is a songwriter in the UK, currently based between London and the coast.
AP has no imagination whatsoever, and is in the deepest happiness when confronted with
rooms, buildings and planes. Other people are followers and leaders as needles pull thread
through a tear or wound.
In the artist’s words:
People I know places I go people I know places I know and unfortunately places I no longer
want to go and were it to keep going I would have to stop.
The only place that one can go is to the place they know. Perhaps the final place is not
where you think it is - in fact, it is followed as if falling in love with the failure of your own
kind.
And I was dreaming of it.
And the place was fickle and free.
And eventually that was an unlikely way.
And over the bridge it was all serious and faltered.
Chastity is somewhere warm, usually so.
Walk across the hall and through the river. It has no bed no edge now can it seep beyond
the banks towards a kind of treasure - no salt. Nothing to wash out. Not clean. Not alone.
The room is something of ours.
