Copenhagen-based producer Amazinggaijin returns to All Centre with Pulse of the city, his first EP on the imprint since 2021’s Oxygen Tank. The member of Technomaterialism and Overtone Sound Collective continues to explore the outer edges of techno with two stripped-back, sonically expansive cuts exploring texture, tension and movement.
Opening track Tampanesis is a ten-minute slow-burn that channels analogue grit and rhythmic disorientation. Caustic hi-hats and thumping kicks set the foundation before a warping sub-bass slowly takes hold. Glitched-out fragments of voices and evolving layers of analogue synths build into an ecstatic crescendo.
On Pulse of the city, a darkwave track taking inspiration from industrial music, an acidic bassline pulses beneath a steady four-to-the-floor framework, while a hypnotic vocal sample echoes through the mix. The result is a disorienting yet propulsive workout, a track engineered for adventurous late-night dancefloors.
Pulse of the city is available across all digital platforms from August 15th.
