I built this track around the synth pattern and it just screamed to become a dance bop. The lyrics paradoxically are more about the longing for more structure and calm. A longing for structure in between life changes and projects. I think you can hear my confusion in the little screams in between verses. I was sitting at Brussels Airport writing these lyrics and working on the song on my laptop. Precovid, in between touring, and visiting a friend in Belgium. It was a constant up and down (once laughing, once crying) in my life and I really missed structure - serious business.
