SIGNAL PRESSURE REVIEW
Schuttplatz Hymnen is where the Remnants series kicks the door open—a raw, fuzzed-out blast from 1970 Freiburg that predates MIRRORDEN’s later vault-era discipline by years. NULLGEGEND weren’t theorists or engineers. They were squatters and amp-burners, forcing volume through broken circuits until the room itself began to crumble into the recording.

What survives is a perfect wreck of early proto-Kraut energy: pounding toms, bass pushed into distortion, Hammond drones running feral. It’s garage rock bent by industrial space—somewhere between Monster Movie and a lost Italian psych jam. Saturation turns every riff into debris. The brickworks room doesn’t frame the sound; it grinds against it.

For all its chaos, Schuttplatz Hymnen feels like a buried creation myth. Groove before doctrine. Momentum before method. Noise before anyone decided what the Network was supposed to be.

EPILOGUE
Schuttplatz Hymnen is the missing link between garage rock and the Network’s later machinery. Loud, rough, and proudly unfinished, it documents a moment when feedback mattered more than framework. NULLGEGEND didn’t leave behind a doctrine—just debris, momentum, and proof that everything that followed started with volume and nerve.
