Ethimm scratches on pop does a pirouette and then takes another direction. Both on stage and in his productions, the enigmatic producer from Zurich shows his unique style. After three releases on the cult label Light of Other Days his new record for Subject to Restrictions is more danceable than ever. Previously approved by a multitude of DJs from London to Tokyo, 'Don't Go Away' delivers steady hands in the air peak time moments reminiscent of 90ies rave dancefloor dramas. On 'Lies (feat. T.A.V.)' the pitched voice perfectly intertwines with the throbbing disco beat and the sparse melodies, all to climax in sweeping arpeggio ecstasy. The slow groove of 'Island Jam' is peppered with a penetrating bassline and playful sound snippets. An EP for DJs and home listeners alike.
