OX-I was recorded in 2021 and first released on July 13, 2021, as part of Riboch's final project at Musrara School of Art, Jerusalem. Utilizing materials created in Max/MSP jams with self-made digital instruments, OX-I presents a vision of a white void, a minimalist virtual environment inhabited by super-low basses, ultra-high glitch-hats, Dub pads, and morphing FM synths, roaming the edges of the human hearing spectrum. The compositions continuously shift and evolve, drawing inspiration from African rhythms, revisiting and deconstructing memories from the dance floor. In OX-I, Riboch constructs familiar settings of synthetic musical forms only to dissolve them into stripped-down abstractions of club music.
