“Bring It Back” – my first EP is out ✨
I’ve always had a soft spot for trance, and as a personal challenge I’ve been trying to stay consistent by posting one track per week on SoundCloud. Most of them don’t feel fully developed, and I often release them without much expectation. Honestly, sometimes the hardest part is just finding a name or a picture for the random files sitting on my external SSD.
I’ve always struggled to share what I make. For years I hid behind other people’s work or felt like I needed someone else’s support to put something out. For the first time, this little routine feels like breaking a psychological barrier. I’m super camera shy, but I’m proud of myself for slowly putting more of me out there, even if I’m still avoiding showing my face or other sides of me I want to reach one day.
This EP is an attempt to move away from the standard trance structure. The tracks were sitting on my SSD for a while, but unlike the others I’ve released separately, these felt like they belonged together. To me, they carry something new, beyond my ongoing studies of 90s trance with vengeance samples and supersaws lol.
Everything on this EP was produced, mixed & mastered entirely by me.
I really hope it finds the right people. Thank you so much to everyone supporting me, even if most of you are on another continent, which already says a lot about the loneliness of making this kind of music in Brazil hahaha.
Huge thanks to @volobodo for the artwork 🤍
and @matheusdfghjkl for making Watch Me with me, you’re missed here in São Paulo, my friend.
The cover is a crashed car, a theme I had in mind since the start of this project. Someone once told me it would bring bad luck 🍀, but for me it goes beyond shock value. A wrecked luxury car is powerful, something once valuable now worthless, adrenaline turning into tragedy, capitalism showing how much it consumes life. This contrast makes me reflect on what really matters in life: love ✨
