ex.sses (she/they) is an experimental sound artist, electronic producer and DJ. Her ties to experimental club culture have previously manifested in releases for Cherche Encore, TT and BAIT.
December 12th 2024 gifts us a new release: 'strange echoes' which glint is proud to release digitally.
Glistening between the soundsystems of the club and the intimacy found therein, strange echoes explores how bodies attempt to, and often miss out on, connecting in the dark - searching for answers and finding echoes. Voices reaching out in the dark.
The EP grew out of experiences DJing and playing live at spaces like Corsica Studios, The Cause and Iklectik, as well as curating mixes for NTS and Netil Radio, where moments of release often couple with something deeper - something deeply embedded in connections between others. Crisp kicks and sub bass meet with live cello and voice notes, acting out a performance of all the parts of this digital life.
