The first track is the last thing my dad ever heard.
The third track's first demo was recorded in 2007.
The last time I tried to publish an album publicly was in 2000.
And the entire thing is the fulfilment of a promise to myself: I always thought I was capable of making a real album, not just a bunch of half-finished demos. But you can only put something off for 20 years a very small number of times ... and some people won't be around for when you get around to it.
But it's not as simple as being sad and making a sad album; you still have to brush your teeth the night after visiting the hospital. The jokes you make are still funny. It's an album about joy in the face of grief, perseverance during strife, and redemption against doubt. I hope you enjoy it.
