This album is a collection of moments of life, everchanging and with various influences, all captured by a Heaven Camera.
I present this album as a reintroduction into the experimental electronic space, with collaborations with Hudson Lee, Space Candy, Lapsung, and Ashley Tare. Joined by violinist Vivek Menon, I hope to carve my own place with my digital pastoral pop sound.
Heaven Camera took shape across my time living in a small town in Florida, Chicago, and now in Vancouver, BC. Each song is also a snapshot of musical influences. From deconstructed club, IDM, drum & bass to hardstyle, it’s all wrapped up in a pastoral twist with violins scattered throughout the project. I grew up listening to classical music and trying (and failing) to play the cello, and my sound is shaped by both my love for the club and lush, orchestral music. In Chicago, Vancouver, and New York, I throw and play shows dedicated to experimental electronic music. The time in these various club scenes shaped my sound, as well as the isolated nature of growing up on the computer and grinding away at various DAWS, making AMVs, and listening to nightcored Imogen Heap.
It took 5 years. I am so glad I can finally share this with you all.
