Live In Italy is a new outcome by the Jan Jizz Trio. Through the MIDI protocol, a powerful language of mediation, ephemeral trajectories are drawn between ambient and contemporary electronics, embarking the listeners on new paths overlooking landscapes that oscillating from warmth of melody and the numerical programming. Dissonances emerge as memory units, fading like smoke in the span of a clock’s ticking. Here, musicians neither dominate the machine nor is dominated by it. They simply create instant compositions into a suspended territory, where electronics take on corporeal form, a resonant antechamber of worlds where humans and machines engage in porous, highly fluid relationships. Jan Jizz is Danish composer from Veksø,. Drawing from his roots in a family of Methodist gabba enthusiasts and inspired by his mentor Mats Söderlund, Jizz merges tradition and experimentation, redefining contemporary jazz limits through innovative use of technology. This is his first trio album, recorded and produced entirely live in the studio. It marks his debut with Pick Up the Cake. Jan Jizz extends his gratitude to all the people, software, and hardware that made this project possible.
