JazzCities is a vibrant tribute to the pulsating energy of the world's metropolises, seen through the lens of 1940s jazz, blues, and swing. Inspired by the era's songwriters, the album captures the frenetic pace of urban life while employing modern production techniques. Each track is a musical postcard from a different city: the windswept streets of Chicago, the smoky cafes of Paris, the bluesy avenues of Memphis, the avant-garde clubs of Berlin, the second-line parades of New Orleans, the historic jazz lofts of Harlem, the intellectual taverns of Boston, and the rain-kissed banks of the Thames in London. Jasmine's lyrics paint vivid portraits of rooftop terraces buzzing into the night, rain-soaked sidewalks, and impromptu jam sessions in speakeasies. The arrangements weave together brass-rich sections, driving bass lines, and subtle string flourishes into a tapestry that is both familiar and freshly original.
