This year Kalabash will present their biggest project to date - Decompression Tapes Vol. 1, a mixtape slated for release on Tropopause Records in late 2025. Rooted in the UK’s underground DNA, it bends and blurs genre lines, shifting fluidly between percussive club pressure, abstract textures, and cinematic soundscapes. The project embraces improvisation and unconventionality, while maintaining a cohesive flow. Each track is born from a moment of creative impulse, where instinct and experimentation can roam freely.

The first glimpse into Decompression Tapes Vol.1 arrives with two colossal club productions to kick off a year of planned single releases. Decompress & Concrete revel in unabashed bass maximalism, dancing joyfully between the spaces of the UK hardcore continuum. Decompress is a wild and sprawling rave maelstrom with an uninhibited rhythm crafted for peak club hysteria, elevated with moments of pure nostalgic euphoria. Concrete provides the perfect chaser, stripped-back but relentless, a low-slung 4x4 roller that simmers with tension, weight and submerged melody.
