In this first EP, the producer and DJ KimberlaID plays with polarities, manipulating multiple references to the hardcore scene as she goes along. The chimerical voices of fictitious characters carry us along as we listen to and traverse her universe - or rather, her universes, for they are so multiple. In this EP full of mental images, contemplative melodies gradually clash with synthetic rave textures and meticulously selected kicks to plunge listeners into an ecstatic state conducive to dance. Sometimes gabber, sometimes terror, broken or unclassifiable, each track on the project is a journey where fragments of a shrewd blend of melancholy, sensitive saturation and solitary reveries nestle.
