Lossless Self is about juxtaposition: raw drums and blown-out bass meeting softer, more fragile elements. Both tracks came out of long nights of resampling and instinctive layering, chasing that weird balance between control and chaos. Throughout there’s a focus one telling simple yet concise rhythmic stories and a kind of ritual energy running through it all; dark, percussive, a bit unstable but also moments that feel almost weightless, like the pads in Generative Chase.
