Eight rivers leading to an ocean. Moving Rooms is Cal, Cello, De, Hannah, Ryan, Tiare, Thomas and Will. What sound does listening make? How to show our inner worlds? How to transverse distance, to collapse space?

Recorded over an intensive four days in early spring at Roundhead Studios in Tāmaki Makaurau, each of the ten tracks in Moving Rooms represents an entirely improvised convergence of minds and spirits. Piano, synths, guitars, drums, bass, clarinet, cello, violin and drums all talking at the same time, moving as one, the way a flock of geese form an arrow against a bright blue sky; or thousands of bees create a singular golden hive; a conversation held between eight people in a lamp-lit room.
