The debut full length from Georgia based musician and designer, Ohmu, is a finality of years of teeth gnashing and experimentation culminating into a sudden volcanic expulsion of compositions recorded in a 3 month period at the beginning of 2023.
When Will Our Forever Longing Be Satiated presents a ruptured, looming dissonance swilled with shivering lone voids. Slow, heavy bass sequences and cloud like abstractions create a viscerally pleasant bed of sound to draw the listener in deep to its frenzy. It pushes to a smoldering state but never becomes fully ashen. There’s uncertainty at its finish whether WWOFLBS paints a destructive image or one of rebirth but the lingering mouth feel is perfectly coated.
