Second of a series of 4 EPs, RE:SET DNA arrives on Nina Protocol.
RE:SET DNA, by Rio de Janeiro producer Agazero.
Agazero, who also answers for DJ LHC and 177h, started his career as Vó1d. In his most recent work, he seeks to reconnect with Wave research, a genre that leveraged his first projects, updating the compositions with new aesthetics and references.
Moving between the grill – which combines characteristics of grime with the British drill – and the wave, Agazero "resets" his musical DNA with influences from London producer Nammy Wams and his own self from the past.
"RE:SET DNA is about genetic origin and manipulation – in this case, the genetics of my sonic identity. Using my own room as a laboratory, I play at making these mixtures like a scientist", summarizes Agazero.
