Guayaba, the virtual artist, announces the release of their album “Ronin (浪人)”, a project that is much more than a collection of songs. It’s a difficult chapter of their life turned into music, a visual metaphor of their personal journey, and a search for a new identity. The album blends various styles, from introspective lofi ballads to vibrant Jersey Club beats, as well as House tracks and the boundary-pushing sounds of the ever-evolving Hyperpop movement.
Conceived as a short film, the album was premiered at Embajadores Cinema on December 17, delivering an audiovisual experience that expands upon the concepts behind each track. The standout single, “dondestas tu? (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻)”, has particularly resonated with listeners, capturing the introspection and exploration of identity that permeates the entire project.
Several teasers from the album have already found their way onto prominent playlists like Helium and Liquidx on Spotify Spain, as well as the international Hyperpop playlist, showcasing Guayaba’s versatility and the growing interest in their music across diverse corners of the musical landscape.
Guayaba employs virtual technologies to deliver a unique musical and visual experience, recording themselves in virtual environments and exploring fascinating worlds within VRChat. This innovative approach allows them to go beyond traditional music and digital art boundaries.
“Ronin (浪人)” is now available on all digital platforms. With its release, Guayaba not only offers a window into their soul but also continues to expand the possibilities of art and music in the virtual realm.
