Oh No...might not be the most encouraging thing to declare first thing in the year but Skwirl's new EP is a decidedly darker affair than most of his output. That is not to say it is a downer, it has beats and you can dance to it, but the EP was written during a period of heavy upheaval and decidedly less than killer vibes.
Hurts were hurt, and things went pear, and it was in moments of grief and processing that the Oh No EP was formed. From the transfigurative title track to the gorgeously tender and abraded finale this electrifying record is the most intimate and achingly raw material from the up-and-coming Berlin based producer to date and hints at an ocean of depth beyond the beat science he's become known for.
