SPF 50’s Social Life EP, released in March 2023, offered refined peak sounds and atmospheric club tools that defied typical genre descriptors, and cemented him as one of the most exciting DJs and producers in New York.
Further exploring the world conjured in Social Life, SPF 50 has invited three artists he admires greatly - Sam Goku, Davis Galvin, and James Bangura - to reimagine the EP.
The results are stellar. Sam Goku delivers an ambient techno version of “Grove Map” with a rude acid line, Davis Galvin transforms “Body Concept” into a sub-heavy system lifter, James Bangura digs up a moody deep house groove in “Liquid USB”, and SPF 50 himself rounds out the offering with “Blind Fade”, a reworked track from the Social Life sessions replete with the deep atmosphere and understated moments he has become known for.
