Tanz is a work situated between the Palace of Knossos and the steel-and-glass skyscrapers of pre-9/11 Manhattan: holograms of virtual reality, the melancholy of a living past lingering in the limbo of the media, and humanity's inherent yet futile desire to keep structures standing.
