Square Root of None, the second single from Ulrika Spacek's upcoming album EXPO, came about from throwing ideas at a wall during a biting Stockholm winter. Threading through a chaotic soundscape of multi-layered instrumental ideas and huge driving beats of live and digital drums, the lyrics have a clinical exactitude, drawing on the language of mathematics and code. Galvanising, brash and riff-dense digital-psych, some songs feel made to be played live and loud - this is certainly one of them.
