Silo, written and recorded by David Byron Queen (his first album as Uncanny Valet), is a versatile collision of sounds and influences. Blending synth-heavy compositions with granular spontaneity, eclectic sampling, and an ever-present ear for melody, Silo inhabits a state of perpetual discovery. It's an album filled with unexpected layers, twists, textures, and contrasts––often all at once. Breakbeats twitch behind ambient soundscapes; glossy ‘80s studio pop gives way to interstellar noise; icy synths drift above warm, evolving polyrhythms. Playful, searching, and adventurous––with moments of genuine beauty––Silo is the arrival of a unique new voice in electronic music. One more than happy to throw out all the rules and live inside its own sonic world.
