WAASS was born on the internet from exchanges of memes on Instagram—those short videos that quickly go viral and that we constantly share.
They met in the studio and decided to incorporate snippets of these memes into loops, composing from a vocal, a sound of a fall, and more. Wanting to push their sonic uniqueness further, they forbade themselves from using sample libraries and instead created their own "raw material."

Their taste for over-saturated sounds, chaos, and the unconventional leads them to craft a heavy, raw visual and sonic environment, driven by modular synthesizers and analog drum machines.

This debut EP showcases a pell-mell of their diverse influences drawn from their personal interests.
