Satomimagae has described her new album Taba as a loosely connected series of short stories. “Omajinai,” the second tale shared from the collection, considers the vague mystery and infinite poetry contained in even the most transient moments.
Framed with a stripped-back palette of acoustic guitar and tender lyric, Satomi’s narration subtly drifts in and out of step before mounting to a conclusion that never entirely settles. The story ends afloat, enigmatically unresolved, and deeply flickering in memory.
