Sophia Stel has just shared her new single "Everyone Falls Asleep In Their Own Time" — out now along with an accompanying music video. The song arrives alongside the announcement that Stel will embark on a headlining European tour this fall, which kicks off on November 7th with a performance at Pitchfork Festival in Paris. Highlighted by a grainy, VHS-style visual shot on a downtown rooftop in her home city of Vancouver, the track finds Stel delivering meditative, soft edge couplets ("Some people lay awake, don't worry it's fine/Everyone falls asleep in their own time") over the song's guitar-laced instrumental. Like the majority of Stel's music, "Everyone Falls Asleep In Their Own Time" is completely self-produced, written, and recorded and arrives following her 2024 debut EP Object Permanence and its accompanying deluxe version. Released in March, the extended project featured sleeper hit "I'll Take It", which has rapidly caught fire on TikTok — and even earned Stel a co-sign from Troye Sivan.
