Trampoline is a tall spiral staircase turning into a smooth tornado that moves below the sand finding blue and reaches high toward yellow.
Trampoline spreads between folk, noise and ambient,,, rooted always in a kind of spiritual relationship to sound and city
--
knotted plays in imaginary fields ,stretching time then shrinking it, joining found sounds ,tying voice memos of loose ideas with her favorite guitars and sincerity ,allowing clarity to bubble up for a moment then throwing it back to the whirlpool
knotted combines recorded instruments with experimental production and obscured lyrics about love and other things. Having built a name for herself within the NYC and LA underground scenes, knotted's music sits somewhere between Grouper's sparse goth-folk and the experimental ambience of Bianca Scout or Klein. Whilst singles like 'cement' and 'totwo' showcase a kind of experimental singer-songwriter, longer pieces like 'helmet melody' are like riding a waltzer; passing the 10 minute mark and leaving the listener in a haze, only to be eventually brought back to earth by the next track. The closer 'a dream with two feet' sees knotted leaning deeper into traditional songwriting whilst continuing to bring a clear aesthetic production style and haunted atmospheres. The record was mastered and co-mixed by Amir Shoat.
