Manchester meets Kingston on Local Action’s final release of 2020, as Shanique Marie & Finn combine on a pair of heady dance anthems.
Started in Manchester's Swing Ting studio after an Equiknoxx live show in 2018 and developed remotely over the past 2 years, ‘Lifey’ and ‘Movers’ are the result of Shanique and Finn working meticulously to find a natural middle ground between their styles and backgrounds; drawing from Dancehall, Street Soul, Garage, House and New York freestyle. The result is a dance record falling somewhere between Mantronix and Manix; pure 80s soundsystem music meeting raw 90s dance energy.
