The second katharsis release of the year is the EP “Chasms Where Streams Fall And Disperse” by Italian artist POL100, coming out on February 28th. On its five tracks, POL100 takes you on a deep reflective journey through his meditative sound design, by combining uncanny airy pads with stuttering effects and delicate synth melodies.
With each track named after a mineral, the artist aims to interpret how the flow of water sliding through the rocky veins of the earth creates unique textural objects. The technological nature of our planet is embodied by digital and organic ambiances throughout the EP. This very ambient sound expression is novel to the artist, whose latest release was the intense clubby EP “Sepsis” on Bound Centre in September 2020.
