Here we are. 1st Memories was born over a year ago with Nina Colwell on Training Wheels, the morning after a long night, voice still rough. Its worn, filtered sounds shaped the tone of the whole album. It captures fragments of childhood, joyful and nostalgic, blending indie, house, dub techno, and trip hop. With Afton Roamer, we tried to recreate that Camargue heat, when the music replaces the wind. I’ve stopped chasing perfection. It stays a bit blurry and imperfect, like the stories it tells: friendship, sensations, and memories. Twelve tracks, twelve faces behind them. Thanks to all the people who participated.
