Amiture is a collaboration between the New York musicians Jack Whitescarver and Coco Goupil. Taken from Mother Engine, the project’s debut as a duo, the pulsing and jittery “Baby” recalls, among other touchtones, the early ‘80s solo work of Alan Vega. It’s damaged N.Y.C. music, born out of the nervous energy that flows through the city’s arteries. Listen to full album and check out the premiere of the first single’s sci-fi music video, which was directed by Cyrus Duff.
