3. Can you tell us about this track?
This track is part of a forthcoming EP called Structures for which I tried to produce tracks that are much more minimally arranged than my usual music, by using simple sounds and being generous with space.
4. What's your process?
On a technical level, I work wholly in-the-box, but beyond that I will usually not produce for days or weeks, letting the idea form itself properly, then produce quite quickly once it's clear in my head. The initial idea is usually in rhythm, but sometimes it might be sound design.
5. Can you tell us about your scene?
A common (and true) gripe is that the larger Mexico City scene is divided into niches that can be quite insular, although that is probably the case with every local scene. I'm thankful that my specific branch of dance music seems to, at least, have good communication with the more loose, experimental environments. I'm also thankful that, insular or not, I've found a small group of promoters and peers that are supportive and constant.
