lyrics
I'll see you tonight
We're gonna take your car out on a long drive
I'll see you tonight
I heard there's a party on the west bank
I'll see you tonight
Pull up to the function looking extra fine
I'll see you tonight
I wanna feel your body right next to mine
Drugs, Party, Music, Baby
Drugs, Party, Music, Baby
Drugs, Party, Music, Baby
You got me goin crazy
Drugs, Party, Music, Baby
Sex, Party, Music, Baby
Sex, Party, Music, Baby
You got me goin crazy
"The West Bank of New Orleans, like much of the surrounding Mississippi River industrial corridor, has been heavily impacted by decades of industrial pollution, earning the broader region the nickname "Cancer Alley". The area’s toxicity stems from a high concentration of petrochemical plants, refineries, and hazardous waste sites that have polluted the air, soil, and groundwater, particularly affecting marginalized and low-income communities."
"
Hey r/NewOrleans, I've been looking at places to live in New Orleans, and I'm just so not used to "by the river" lifestyle, coming from the Midwest. I was in the city earlier this year and got to know quite a deal about the Eastbank, but I don't know much about the Westbank other than you have to take a bridge to get there (and what a clusterfuck it can be sometimes... only had to cross the bridge two or three times to get to Algiers Point).
So for someone who, as I mentioned in another thread, grew up in suburbs and smaller cities, what is the Westbank like compared to areas like Uptown or Mid-City? "
